1939 Ford Cabriolet !! This is a beautiful example of the last year of the Rumble Seat Convertible. The 39 underwent a meticulous frame off restoration using nothing but original and NOS parts. The body is all steel! The owner having been a hot rodder back in the day decided he would build a flathead mill for the old ford. The engine is a 1952 flathead Merc. It has been completely rebuilt. It has edelbrock aluminum heads, Twin 94's, 12 volt MSD ignition. The flathead breathes through a pair of reds headers into duel smitty mufflers! This Cabriolet purrs! All New wiring and alternator. Yes, I know it looks like a generator but it is an alternator in a period correct generator case. The transmission shifts smooth and it has a Columbia two speed rear end. No problem cruising freeway speeds. No expense was spared on the interior of the car! LaBaron Bonney Leather upholstery, fully restored dash board with all NOS gauges, clock and radio block out. Restored original Banjo wheel. The Convertible Top is a Haartz. The cabriolet rolls on original ford wheels wrapped with coker wide white radials. The red wheels really make this car pop! There have been only a little more than 500 miles put on the car since the frame off restoration. Everything from top to bottom, front to back, side to side has been restored on this car. New glass, new weather stripping, rechromed bumpers. This is an absolute no disappointment car!!! If you have been looking for one of the nicest 1939 Cabriolets to spend your hard earned money on this is the car!!
